The Springfield Beautification Committee is in the process of planning improvements for the downtown area between Jefferson Street and Andover Avenue. We invite local residents to attend a public meeting to ask questions, share their ideas, and learn more about this streetscape project.

Date: Saturday, November 19

Time: From 2:00 P.M. to 5:0o P.M. (Presentation: 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Q&A and

Discussion: 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.)

Place: Springfield Community Center on Brantford Street

Work on the streetscape project begin in June of next year and coincide with the construction of a public park along Pearson Road. Improvements to the area being considered include: road and sidewalk repairs, new bicycle lanes, new signage, tree planting along Andover Avenue and new railings along Talbot River

This will be an opportunity for you to contribute to the future of downtown Springfield. Please join us! Your opinions can make a difference.

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION

In an effort to make Stetton Court an even better to live, we will be making a number of improvements to the building in the months ahead. The first major step will be the replacement of two pipes running between the basement and eighth floor. The work will begin on May 28 and is expected to be completed on June 9. Since structural alterations to the building will be required, please be advised that there will be noise during the construction phases of the project

Furthermore, the washing machines and dryers will be removed from the laundry room in the basement on June 8. This will provide the workers with enough space to carry out their work. The laundry room will then be closed until after the project has been completed. Tenants who use this facility may wish to call ACE Laundry at 555-9980 for commercial laundry service .

Armstrong Golf Club Turns 50!

The Armstrong Golf Club will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary. That’s half a century of golf! We invite club members to celebrate with us on July 12.

The celebration will begin at 7:30 A.M. with a delicious breakfast buffet. A ceremony will follow at 9:00 A.M., during which the former and current club presidents will give speeches. After that, we will recognize long- serving employees for their years of dedication. Then, our anniversary tournament will begin at 10:00 A.M . Tournament winners will receive awards at 3:30 P.M.

Nicklemark Media is about to start shooting its latest game show, “The Knockout.” It is an amazing new concept that combines challenges of both physical ability and general knowledge to discover the most well-rounded contestant. It is this production company’s most ambitious project to date.

We are accepting applications from people interested in appearing on the program. The winner receives a prize of 20 thousand dollars in cash.

People who have participated in game shows which only televised outside Australia may apply. People who have appeared on previous Australian television game shows may apply unless they reached the final stage of a program broadcast in the last 12 months. If we are not fully compliant, we could be forced to suspend production until the inspection can be carried out again.
